Bernina 990 Placemats by Amanda Murphy



In this 2-part class, you will make a set of 4 placemats. The pattern is designed by Amanda Murphy and is specifically catered to the Bernina 990. Our 990 mastery teacher Claudia Williams will be your instructor for this project and will guide you through all steps of this placemat. In class 1 you will work on piecing the placemat along with sewing the emboidery applique design. During the week break between the classes, you will construct the other 3 placemats at home. For class 2 you will bring in all 4 constructed placemats and quilt them using 3 different quilting methods, Free-motion, rulerwork and quilting in the hoop! At the end of class 2 you will have a completed set of 4 adorable placemats. You will use many different features of the 990 including 4-Point Placement, the Pinpoint Laser, the Placement Scanner, Jumbo Stitch, and the BISR.

If registrations do not meet the minimum students required a refund will be issued.

Registration Deadline:  February 20, 2026

Students may cancel up to 1 week before class for a store credit equal to the cost of the class. Any cancellations after 1 week before class will NOT be refunded.


 


Requirements: Participants must have a Bernina B990 available for use Materials and supplies are NOT provided (Except a USB stick with the design files) All other materials and supplies must be brought to class
