Quilted Shawl Class

Part of our series for quick and easy gifts you can make for the holidays or any day. The Quilted Shawl can be made as a wholecloth quilted shawl, using orphan blocks, with an already quilted quilt top, pre-made quilt top, or you can use the pattern for the Beth Dutton quilted shawl inspired by the Paramount series Yellowstone.

This class is appropriate for all skill levels and the pattern can be made up in a day (not including the quilting to finish). It's size is appropriate for quilting on a domestic machine.

The included pattern for this class makes an 88"x43" quilted shawl and you can even choose to add pockets! Kits will be available for the pictured shawl using the exact fabrics pictured below.

Supply List: (for pictured shawl)

FOR THE TOP
1 yard of gray fabric
1/2 yard of red fabric
3/4 yard of black fabric

BACKING
For 108" wide fabric: 1-1/2 yards
For 60" wide fabric: 1-3/4 yards
For 44" wide fabric: 2-1/4 yards

BATTING
If you use flannel, minky, or fleece for
the backing you won’t need any
batting!

If you opt for the traditional three
layers, you'll need the same
amount of batting as you do for your
backing.

Sewing machine, sewing/quilting notions; thread, snips, rotary cutter, 1/4" foot or quarter inch tape, cutting mat, binding if you choose to use traditional binding method.
