Christmas Stockings You CAN Stuff

Ever notice that Christmas stockings these days aren't quite large enough to really stuff? Come learn how to use the Martelli Christmas Stocking Template to make the perfect truly stuffable stocking!

This beginner friendly class will teach you how to use the Martelli stocking template to make and finish a stocking large enough to stuff with lots of holiday goodies. These stockings make great gifts or maybe you just want to update your holiday decor with new stockings. You can use yardage or even quilting blocks to make your stockings.

A Clean Stitch will provide Martelli templates to use for the class. You also have the option of ordering your own to use for years to come. A sample template and sample stocking are available in the shop for you to see.

Supply List:

Yardage or Assorted Quilt Blocks for making your stocking

Batting

Backing/Interior Stocking Fabric

2 1/5" binding for the stocking opening trim and hanging loop

Sewing Machine and basic sewing/quilting notions; rotary cutter, cutting mat, thread, and snips. A walking foot and 1/4" foot or seam tape are nice to have but not required.

These stockings can be left unquilted or quilted on your domestic machine.  If you have a longarm, you can quilt yardage or take an already quilted quilt and use it for the stocking.


OPTIONAL:

You can pre-order the Martelli stocking template or place an order during the class. We will have 3 on hand for you to use during the class. Keep in mind there will only be enough time for you to make one stocking during class. The Martelli stocking template measures 21.5 x 15" and features Martelli's no slip material for placement of the template when cutting.
